Giganotosaurus carolinii by CamusAltamirano Giganotosaurus carolinii by CamusAltamirano
Name: "giant southern lizard"

Length: 14 m

Height: 5.5 m

Weight: 7 tons

Diet: carnivore

Time: Cretaceous (93-89 MYA)

Location: South America

Giganotosaurus was a massive carnivorous theropod that lived around 110 to 95 million years ago during the middle Cretaceous period. Giganotosaurus is the longest carnivorous dinosaur yet discovered in America- it is longer than Tyrannosaurs rex. Its skull contained huge 200mm (8in) long serrated teeth that it used for attacking and eating massive vegetarian Sauropods.

Giganotosaurus means "Giant Southern Lizard". Fossils have been found in Southern Argentina in South America. It was named by palaeontologists Rodolfo Coria and Leonardo Salgado in 1995.

Since i was a little kid i always loved dinosaurs, and now i can do my dream, make a Dinopedia. Starting with my favourite one, this huge bastard from South America, the Giganotosaurus. I use a little bit the colors from the game DINO CRISIS 2.

What I read from the Dino Crisis Wiki, it said that this Giga was mutated by the radiation that was spilling out of the missile silo before Regina and Dylan came. that's why it was so much bigger than a normal Giganotosaurus. the dame designers wanted to introduce dinosaurs that had been altered due to Human interference without going into Godzilla levels of mutation.

Hopefully they'll get another chance to do something like this again. if you haven't heard yet, the owner of Dino Crisis is considering a reboot of the series while also keeping Regina as the main character. I really hope he goes through with it because I would love to have a new Dino Crisis game. :D

I never knew until recently that Tyrannosaurus was taller than Giganotosaurus.

Awesome, just one thing, T-Rex was taller in height, and I never knew Giganotosaurus was 14 metres. Anyways, have a nice day.

Giganotosaurus at 14 meters is feasible, but not certain.
